We are in Week 3 of 2021-22 Mut 22 coins season, EA has updated Madden 22's rosters to reflect Week 2 performance. This week's update didn't have any major surprises, but certain players received the ratings increase.
Most notable was the two-point rise in Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Rob Gronkowski's overall rating. He's gone from an 86 overall launch rating to an 89 overall rating in just two weeks. And , honestly, he's definitely deserving of it. Gronk has already recorded 12 receptions while netting the ball with 129 yards and four touchdowns within the last two weeks. Gronk is on top form and I am confident that this won't be his last season of high ratings.
Another big name to get an increase in ratings is Kansas City Chiefs strong safety Tyrann Mathieu. Mathieu has been out since Week 1 due to a positive COVID test He made his season debut on Sunday Night Football against the Baltimore Ravens. It was quite a memorable debut was with Honey Badger recording two interceptions and one of them Mathieu returned for one touchdown. Mathieu's Awareness rating and catch rate has increased by one point to 99 and 85, respectively. His overall is now at 96.
After a rebound performance in Week 2 against the Seattle Seahawks, Titans running back Derrick Henry saw some ratings modified, though he's still at an overall 96. Henry's launch rating has taken some by surprise since many of his fans believe that he's top running back in the NFL. With 182 rushing yards during Week 2 and three touchdowns, he definitely showed his worth. Henry's catch went up two points , compared to 64. But his break tackle, in a surprising way, dropped three points to a 92.
Christian McCaffrey (Carolina Panthers halfback) is worth taking note of. He sustained an injury to the hamstring during the game against the Houston Texans on Thursday night. While injuries aren't typically a factor in the player's ratings in Madden 22 it could be fascinating for Henry to succeed him as the best back on Madden 22.
